EXPO vis-à-vis Wet Erase Markers
Sanford Corporation launched the first EXPO marker in August 1976. The original launch included Black, Red, Blue and Green Chisel Tip markers.
Following the success of the original EXPO dry erase markers, Sanford launched EXPO Fine Point markers in February 1981.

By 1991, Expo had also added the EXPO Ultra Fine Point and EXPO Bullet Tip markers.

Today, Expo is adding even more items to its line of products. Expo has begun to introduce a variety of boards to help complete the dry erase system offering.
In 1965, Sanford offered its first temporary visual communication aid, the Vis-à-Vis wet erase markers.

Two years after the original launch, in April 1978, four additional products were added to the Expo Chisel Tip series: Yellow, Orange, Brown and Purple.
In November 1986, the company launched the new marker, aptly named EXPO II, later renamed EXPO2.

In 2003, Sanford revolutionized the dry erase marker industry by introducing EXPO dry erase markers in Chisel Tip and Ultra Fine Tip.

Additionally, in 2003 Expo introduced a new line of accessories, adding to the evolution of the dry erase industry.
